Many, many years ago I decided to start a blog. It was pretty specific in nature, geared toward the curriculum I used to homeschool my children.
The Unofficial Weaver blog has been retired, along with my homeschooling journey, yet I am still active in the homeschooling community-- online.
Along with my friend Debbie, I started a Facebook group for local homeschool moms. BA Homeschoolers started with about 40 ladies in 2010, and now boasts over 1,400 moms, all in the northeast Oklahoma area. It's not affiliated with any specific in-person group, but we highly encourage homeschool moms to seek out that connection.
About a year ago, I purchased the domain, BAHomeschoolers.com, and I've been working to get it set up the way I want it so it will be a profitable blog.
Starting today, I'm going to share that journey with you. About twice a month I plan to post an update letting you know what I've done to move forward with this goal. I'll also send out an email to those who wish to sign up, so you can read the condensed version of what's been accomplished.
Besides being a visual record of my journey, I hope it will help other moms to see that blogging IS possible, but that it's work, too.
This is not moving as fast as I'd like it to, because I also have a very rewarding and super fun job as an executive assistant to a wonderful Christian blogger/influencer. I've learned a lot from her along the way, too!
I hope you enjoy traveling this path with me -- it's not the same path other bloggers have taken, but after much prayer, this is how I feel led to do it. I hope it sparks ideas for you!
