I’ve had a couple people ask me, “Can I be a blogger at my age?!”
That’s really a very good question!
My answer is, “Why not?”
- Do you want to?
- Do you enjoy writing?
- Do people appreciate the wisdom you share?
It’s Never Too Late
There are many women out there who start a blog (or continue a blog) after the age of 50. I belong to a Facebook group that has 174 members over 40 and the majority of us are over 50!
Yes, you can be a blogger at your age.
Start a Busines, Not a Hobby
This is the key thing to keep in mind.
When you decide to be a blogger, you need to think of it as a business.
Because you need to pull in some income, remember?
When finances are tight, we feel like we’re spinning out of control. We’re going to explore the possibility of regaining control through starting a business. A blog will be part of that.
There are so many ways to use a blog — it doesn’t even have to look like a blog!
Set Some Goals
Like any business, you won’t get rich overnight. You’re going to need to put in some serious work.
We’ll talk about setting goals– goals are important!
It’s also important to dream. I want you to dream big!
Can I Be a Blogger at My Age?
And if I can, you can.
It’s just a matter of talking, sharing, and teaching through words.
But, I would caution you to talk to your family about it and find out if it’s okay to mention them.
(Setting privacy goals should be #1 on your list.)
Let’s Do This!
Let’s be bloggers together! Or, you can watch me for a little while before you’re ready to jump in.
Then, we’ll do this together. Because that’s what friends do — they do things together.
